HTTP / TLS check

Inspect a real HTTP response, full redirect chain, connection timing, security headers and TLS certificate validation from the CHA.LA API node.

Public HTTP and HTTPS URLs only. Credentials, private targets and redirects into private networks are blocked.
No HTTP / TLS result yetSubmit a public URL to see real response and certificate evidence.

Read HTTP and certificate results

Enter an HTTP or HTTPS URL to inspect response status, redirects and TLS certificates. Requests originate from the server probe, helping diagnose connection and configuration issues.

Common questions

Why is the response different in my browser?

Probe location, headers, cookies and login state differ. A CDN or access policy may therefore return a different response.

Why is there no certificate for an HTTP URL?

Certificate data is available only when a TLS connection is established. Plain HTTP does not itself use TLS.

Are 301 and 302 failures?

No. They indicate redirects. Inspect the final target and full chain for loops, unexpected domains or a downgrade from HTTPS.

Do 403 or 429 mean the server is broken?

Not necessarily. A 403 may reflect access policy; a 429 usually indicates rate limiting. Check the source, permissions and request rate before calling it an outage.

Is an unexpired certificate always valid?

No. Hostname matching, the certificate chain and trust also matter. Valid dates do not establish every TLS check or endorse the site’s content.

Does a missing security header prove a vulnerability?

No. Assess headers against the page’s purpose, embedding needs and security policy. A missing header is a review signal, not a confirmed vulnerability.
